Building an audience is a must do for business owners, regardless of their stage in business.
This is beneficial if you are new online, made a change in your offerings or even if you've been building an audience for a long time.


Why is it important to consistently be building your audience?

Well, who are you going to sell to? These audience members will, ideally, ascend your value ladder and become clients. For that reason, audience growth and nurturing must never be left to chance. Every business must be intentional about growing their audience...from day one. The question arises, if you aren't clear on what your offer will be should you still grow your audience? The answer is yes. Even if you haven't pinned down what the EXACT paid offer will be, you may have thought around what it is that you want to do in your business. Start there.

When growing your audience there are two main categories that people fall in:

1. Those who already know OF you. These may not have taken any steps to work with you or consumed your content. However they are on your social media friends list and even people on your email list.

2. Those who have no idea who you are but are your ideal client.


Ok, so with that being said we want to talk about 5 Ways You Can Grow Your Audience Online based on those two categories.

Category 1

Those who already know you but are not yet in your circle

Create Reels/TikToks

Many people are successfully using reels to connect to their ideal client. This works well because you create the content and the all-seeing, all-knowing algorithm does the rest. I am taking a course right now on utilizing reel content to grow my business, it's called Faceless Reels. I'll add the link in the resources list at the bottom of this post.

Go live on your page IG, LinkedIn, TikTok.

 This is a highly effective way to grow your audience among those who know of you. The key thing we want to bear in mind whenever we go live is that our lives, and other content, on our page is accessible to the public. We want to make sure that when new people come on our pages they're able to see this content even without having to follow us or friend us. We also want to bear in mind that the main thing these content should do is be sensitizing people. These people who are seeing this content already know of you, your job now is to make them want to stay in your audience, want to get your free thing, want to take the next step with you.

Category 2

Leveraging another person's established audience.

Podcast Interviews

I love podcasts, they are an excellent way for you to leverage another person's established audience.

Podcasts are, in a way, like YouTube videos. They will be on your host's channel for a long time, as a result you can be getting leads from one podcast interview for a long time. Be sure that whenever you show up to be interviewed on someone's podcast you have a next step for their audience. This way they can move over from their circle to yours.

Depending on the podcast you may be able to offer something free or paid, be sure that whatever you're offering is related to the topic you discussed. This free offer, which is usually preferred, is called a lead magnet. You will need a lead funnel ready to nurture your audience on the backend.

Guest Expert in FB groups

Again this involves leveraging the audience of others. As with podcast interviews, remember the key is these groups must be complementary to your offerings.

Which means that you need to partner with people with a similar Avatar as you. When utilizing this method be sure to speak with the group owner about what it is you can offer. Some paid programs may invite you to be a guest expert but will not allow you to offer a paid solution, that's okay. We are building our audience with not just the temporary fixes in mind, we are looking at long-term. So have a lead magnet with a nurture funnel ready.

Speak On Virtual or In-Person Summits

Get on summits that your ICA may be interested in. This is yet another way to leverage another person's audience. Honestly, I'm biased towards summits. I love them so much! A summit allows you to amplify your audience exponentially.

When you go on someone's podcast or speak in their group you are only being exposed to their audience, one person however, when you get on a summit you are gaining access to the audience of at least five other individuals (and sometimes 10 or 15) depending on the size of the summit. Many summit hosts have very clear guidelines about what speakers are able to offer or what they can or cannot do.

Nonetheless, this by far is one of the most powerful ways to leverage the audience of others to build your audience.

After all that's said, I want you to remember, no strategy works if you don't use it.


So use it!


If you aren't able to do all 5, start with one. It's more beneficial to have one or two consistent methods or strategies to grow your audience than none.
